48 Hour Film Project – Austin/Waco

Are you an aspiring Waco filmmaker? Here’s a fun opportunity to write, film, edit, and score a short film in 48 hours. This competition is based in Austin, but we are hoping for some Waco filmmakers to get involved and shoot around Waco. Cost to participate is $168 per team if you enter before the deadline.

The 48 Hour Film Project is a timed filmmaking competition wherein teams are given three elements (Character, Prop, Line of Dialogue) and a pair of random genres on a Friday evening with which to write, film, edit and score a short film of 4-7 minutes, and turn it in by Sunday at 7:30pm!  This is one of the older competition of its kind in existence, having been established in 2001.  Austin launched their own 48HFP in 2002 and they are now celebrating their 20th Anniversary. The Austin group would love to have Waco be a part of the family, and compete for the chance to go to Filmapalooza, and other festivals as well.

Interested? Please check out the brochure below, and drop us a note if you end up participating! We would love to cheer our Waco teams on!
