World Camel Day at Waco Mammoth National Monument

Did you know camels are the second most common fossil species discovered at the Waco Mammoth National Monument? The site is gearing up for World Camel Day on Saturday, June 22, and you’re invited to join in on all the free fun! Meet live camels and enjoy camel story time and programs, free giveaways, arts and crafts, a Junior Ranger program, spitting contest (yup, you heard right) and more! Event will take place from 10 am to 2 pm. Special Activities include: Meet live camels (free), Special camel programs (free), Camel story time (free), Arts & Crafts (free), Junior Ranger Program (free), Spitting Contest (free-seriously!).
Fee applies to the New Camel exhibit debut on Dig Site tours. Free Giveaways beginning at 10 am! It’s sure to be a camel-tastic day!
