AirPower History Tour Coming to Waco
The distinctive rumble of radial engines from one the rarest World War II bombers, the B-29 Superfortress “FIFI” will be heard over the skies of Waco on October 10. The bomber is to be accompanied by a T-6 Texan, a PT-13 Stearman, a legendary P-51D Mustang, and special guest the L-26B Aero Commander “Ike’s Bird”, that served as Air Force One for President Eisenhower.
This a one day only event. Only individuals that have pre-booked a ride flight will be permitted on the ramp. No ground tours will be provided.
The aircraft will be staged at the Servion Air FBO at TSTC Airport.
The B-29 flies at 10 a.m. and 12 noon. All other aircraft will offer rides from 10 a.m. through 3 p.m.
Rides may be booked in advance at AirPowerTour.org where complete information about the event may also be found.
