Barnes Decorative Arts Course

This unique course, founded and taught by Lavonia Jenkins Barnes, provides premier decorative arts education. This will be an opportunity to hear about engaging topics such as the relationship between decorative arts, history, design and the architecture found in Central Texas. Lecturers this year will be Mr. Eric Ames, Dr. Ken Hafertepe, Dr. Karen Pope, and Dr. Stephen Sloan.
Lectures begin on February 4th and will continue every Tuesday evening for 8 weeks. The first 5 lectures are held in the Education Center of the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum from 6 pm until 8 pm. The last 3 lectures will be held at Historic Waco’s individual house museums (Earle-Napier-Kinnard, East Terrace and McCulloch)

The cost of the entire course is $75 per person, or you can attend up to 3 classes for $15 per class. There is also a student rate of $50 for the entire course.
