Jesse Washington Historical Marker Dedication

The Community Race Relations Coalition and the City of Waco invite you to attend the dedication of the Official Texas Historical Marker Commemorating the “Lynching Death of Jesse Washington and the Lynching Culture that existed in Central Texas.”

The dedication ceremony to commemorate the event will be held on Sunday February 12, 2023, 3:00PM at 300 Austin Avenue, Waco- at the front door of City Hall.

Speakers will include:

• A member of the Washington family
• Representatives of the City of Waco
• The McLennan County Historical Commission
• The Community Race Relations Coalition
• The Waco chapter of the NAACP
