Hi Carol. We do not publish a newsletter but we do offer a website that offers information about places to eat, shop, stay and play. Visit wacoheartoftexas.com and you should be able to find answers to all or most of your questions. Meanwhile, send me your address and I can send you hard copies of brochures. Thanks! Rebecca

Unable to book accommodations due to the calendars not going our that dar. Who can I contact? I would prefer a bnb, airbnb.

Lanell, you’ll need to reach out to the properties you are interested in. You can usually contact them through AirBNB or via their website or social media channels.

How long will the *duration* of the solar eclipse last in Waco, TX? I’m not referring to when it begins and ends but to how long total occlusion will take place. Thanks! Please contact me via e mail.

      Hi Rebecca,

I asked our local astronomy expert, Paul Derrick paulderrickwaco@aol.com. When I hear back from him I will let you know. This sounds so cool!

According to Wikipedia and some other websites at Waco it should be right around four minutes. Maybe a few seconds more or less.

Hi Robert, We are pretty excited about the solar eclipse, too! I’m sure that as the event approaches, we will have information posted on our social media, our calendar of events, and in our newsletter. At this time, we do not have an eclipse specific email list.

See you in 2024 if not before!
