Hi! Do you guys know if we will be able to access the Airport Park or Flat Rock Park, park there and take our paddle boards out on the water on the day of eclipse? We’re late to reserve a campground spot : ( We’re coming from Atlanta, GA. So excited!

    • Ashley Velasquez on April 13, 2023 at 9:38 am

Hi Julia! As of right now, the reservations for Airport Park do not appear available on their website. I would call them directly at (254)756-5359 to see when the rest of those reservations would open up. The Waco Wetlands might also be an option that you can look into.

Hello there, my name is James. Thanks for providing this awesome website! I’m from Philadelphia and plan to visit Waco during the eclipse as a vendor to sell eclipse related items. Are there any events planned that would allow a vendor to rent a space, like festivals? Any information would be helpful, thanks : )

    • Carla Pendergraft on October 10, 2022 at 8:32 am

James, you are welcome to email [email protected] to inquire about vendor space.

Hi Carol. We do not publish a newsletter but we do offer a website that offers information about places to eat, shop, stay and play. Visit destinationwaco.org and you should be able to find answers to all or most of your questions. Meanwhile, send me your address and I can send you hard copies of brochures. Thanks! Rebecca

Unable to book accommodations due to the calendars not going our that dar. Who can I contact? I would prefer a bnb, airbnb.

        • Susan Morton on March 7, 2022 at 8:34 am

Lanell, you’ll need to reach out to the properties you are interested in. You can usually contact them through AirBNB or via their website or social media channels.

How long will the *duration* of the solar eclipse last in Waco, TX? I’m not referring to when it begins and ends but to how long total occlusion will take place. Thanks! Please contact me via e mail.

      Hi Rebecca,

I asked our local astronomy expert, Paul Derrick [email protected]. When I hear back from him I will let you know. This sounds so cool!

According to Wikipedia and some other websites at Waco it should be right around four minutes. Maybe a few seconds more or less.

Hi Robert, We are pretty excited about the solar eclipse, too! I’m sure that as the event approaches, we will have information posted on our social media, our calendar of events, and in our newsletter. At this time, we do not have an eclipse specific email list.

See you in 2024 if not before!
