Introducing Tehuacana Creek Vineyards…

Tehuacana (Ta wok can uh) Creek, named after the Tehuacana Indians, provides the western border of one of our new partners—Tehuacana Creek Vineyards, a family-owned, boutique winery.

TCV’s fine crop of grapes includes varieties such as Norton (also known as Cynthiana), Blanc du Bois and Black Spanish. Small-scale, professional winemaking equipment is used to crush, de-stem and press the grapes after each harvest. The juice is then stored in stainless steel vats until the following year when the wine is ready to be bottled.

Tastings of TCV’s wines are available for $6-$10 depending on the flight, and tours of the vineyards are $4. Hours vary depending on the season, but they are currently open Fridays noon-6 PM and Saturdays 10 AM-6 PM. Always check wacowinery.com to verify their hours.

TCV produces 20 different wines, so there is sure to be one to suit your taste!
