Elite residents of early American port cities amassed a variety of fine and decorative arts to show their status in the community. Through their possessions, colonists imagined that they could tame the wild physical and human landscapes of the new world. Trains at the Mayborn Museum

Join us as we welcome back the Central Texas Area Model railroaders and their trains. The extensive train set-up will include elaborate scenes of bridges and trestles, cities and towns, and depict both the past and present. The young and young-at-heart will enjoy imagining the excitement of being a train engineer! Museum hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 10-5 pm. Thursday 10-8 pm and Sunday 1-5 pm.

Experience the first-ever museum exhibit featuring the four heroic ninjas-in-training: Nickelodeon's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! Learn teamwork, collaboration and problem solving as you work your way through puzzles, mazes and obstacles. Explore the sewer-like lair where good guys win and bad guys lose. Hone your ninja skills while learning the secrets of the sewer! Museum hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 10-5 pm, Thursday 10-8 pm and Sunday 1-5 pm.
