What’s with the Pineapple?

Waco Tourism Ambassador Program

Visitors are good for Waco!  With over 2 million tourists visiting Waco each year, the City of Waco and the Waco Convention & Visitors Bureau would like to recognize a few of YOU who reach out to our visitors to make them feel welcome. Whether they ask a native Wacoan a question or maybe look a little puzzled and you offer assistance, we want you to let help Waco shine!

Here are a few ways Wacoans can participate:

  • When you see someone who looks a little lost, offer your assistance with directions.
  • When you hear people ask about what there is to see and do in Waco, offer your recommendations.
  • When you see someone who looks like a tourist, reach out to them and ask them where they are from.
  • There are so many ways to help people have a wonderful visit to Waco.

Please remember, when you help a visitor, you become part of their lifelong memories of that Waco trip.

If we happen to catch you in the act, we have some cool swag to give you! Waco Tourism Ambassador t-shirts,  pins, and more! The logo for the program includes a pineapple, since pineapples are the symbol of hospitality.

Others have said be like a pineapple! Stand tall, wear a crown and be sweet on the inside! It benefits us all!

Are you a visitor that had someone go above and beyond to help you? Please help us reward them by completing the nomination form at the link below.

Nominate someone you see going that extra mile to help a visitor. Be sure to get a photo so we can share it on social media.  For more information or to nominate someone, please go to whatswiththepineapple.com.
