President’s Centennial Collage Concert
The Baylor University School of Music commemorates its 100th anniversary (1921-2021) with a non-stop concert that shines the spotlight on a dazzling parade of ensembles, chamber musicians, and soloists. This brilliantly conceived concert will take place on Saturday, January 29, beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the two-thousand-seat auditorium of Waco Hall.
Among the wide array of ensembles that will perform are the A Cappella Choir, the Baylor Wind Ensemble, the Baylor Symphony Orchestra, the Baylor Trombone Ensemble, members of Baylor Opera Theatre, and the Baylor Jazz Ensemble.
Chamber groups in the concert will include a brass quintet, a saxophone quartet, a duo for tuba and euphonium, and a woodwind quintet. Solo performers will be a pianist, an organist, a vibraphonist, and a soprano (with collaborative pianist).
There is something for everyone to enjoy in the Centennial Collage Concert. Admission to this gala event is free of charge, but tickets (with assigned seating) are required.
