The Waco Symphony – “Bowed Magic” with Gil Shaham

Gil Shaham is one of the most acclaimed violinists of our time.

The Grammy Award and Avery Fisher Prize-winner is sought after around the world for appearances with leading orchestras and conductors, including the Berlin Philharmonic, Orchestre de Paris, Chicago Symphony, and the New York Philharmonic. His flawless technique combined with his inimitable warmth and generosity of spirit has solidified his renown as an American master.

At age 10, Shaham made debuts with the Jerusalem Symphony and Israel Philharmonic, and went on to study at Juilliard and Columbia University. He has released more than two dozen concerto and solo CDs, earning several prestigious awards and acclaim. In 2012 Musical America named him “Instrumentalist of the Year.”

“In a world full of outstanding violinists, Shaham is one of the few identifiable by sound and style alone.” —Boston Globe

Gil Shaham is represented exclusively by Opus 3 artists.
